By your definition no game is hard. It's just something you had to do.

Could you die much easier in the world in vanilla than in retail? Answer that.

No, by my definition vanilla was an easy game that was harder than retail, which requires little more than having a computer and a pulse.

How easy it is to die = still missing the point I'm making. One easy game being harder than another easy game doesnt mean you dont still have 2 easy games.

Well, yea, it's an MMO. They aren't really the most difficult of games. Even UO, one I find much more difficult than Classic WoW wasn't really that difficult. That's video games in general. And yes, UO was much much much harder than Everquest for those of you that keep bringing up that game.

When people say Classic is more difficult, they aren't comparing it to every video game in existence. They are making a comparison to the Warcraft we have today. And Classic was much more difficult, granted the difficulty comes from tediousness. And of course, I'm not talking about raiding or Mythic+.

I dont think anyone could make the argument that vanilla was easier than retail, lol.

And man, I havent thought about UO in years. I played for a while during renaissance: must be like 20 years ago. Is it still going?

Yea, 21 year anniversary or something like that recently. They made big changes. Pets can be trained like characters now. It's mostly a bunch of Sampires and Tamers running around doing anything these days though. Bunch of houses with so much stuff you lag as you run by.

People seem to think that vanilla raiding was easy. And maybe, after you farm MC or BWL for awhile things get easy. People see to think that they'll speed through any content that they've done before and it's so ridiculous. AQ40 and Naxx are still gonna be tough. People will still struggle with BWL. People will still struggle to kill bosses in ZG especially Jindo.

In many ways, it's gonna be fun for the first timers and hard on people who think they know better.

There's definitely going to be an adjustment period for people who haven't done the content before or aren't used to how things like threat worked back in the day and with 40 people, but I don't see it taking nearly as long as it did can in the day for the content to be cleared through. Raiders coming over from Live in particular are probably going to blow through it just by sheer virtue of being conditioned by much harder raiding content.

Veterans know what to expect, and for the people coming over who want to race to be the first to clear through the content (because people absolutely are going to be competing), there's a lot of information out there they'll be studying, so they'll know what to expect and how to prepare long before AQ40 and Naxx open up. I imagine people will be able to make a killing off of resist gear knowing that folks are going to need it for upcoming raids.
So fresh and clean.

Thought I'd add on a little bit to what I said earlier about veteran players. Addons are a lot more sophisticated than they were back in the days of CT (I think it was CT? I can't remember what my guild had me use before DBM was a thing. I don't think BigWigs was out then), and there's already a release for DBM for classic, or at least I'm assuming it works. Last day it was updated was nine days ago, but even then, pulling up some of the old strats my team used to use, I don't think people are really going to have much trouble, especially if they're coming from the live version of the game.

Also, I can't confirm this myself just yet, but a friend of mine messaged me saying that some of the streamers he watches are clearing through what content there is on the beta very quickly. According to him, evidently some people are clearing level 40 content as low as level 30, but again, I can't really confirm this as I haven't been paying much attention to the WoW streaming community. Assuming this is true, I don't think people will be struggling much like they did back in the day.
So fresh and clean.
