If Nelfs can bend the light of Elune to fuel their holy powers as Priests, they should be able to do the exact same thing as Paladins. Both classes draw from the same source of power, the only difference is how that power is manipulated.

There are plenty of races that can be priest and not paladin. Gnome, Undead, Nightborn, Void Elf, Goblin, Worgen, Troll, Pandaren. By your logic they should all be able to be paladins.

With the exception of Undead (as the Undead are canonically Shadow Priests), they all should. Worgen are definite candidates if you take away their isolated culture.

This. There is literally nothing preventing a race from being a Paladin so long as they’re able and willing to wield the light as a weapon, and channel it directly as its conduit, rather then wielding it as a Priest does.

With the exception of Forsaken (since becoming a conduit of the light would either outright destroy the forsaken, or cause them so much agony they would go insane from the pain), and race that can be a priest theoretically can become a Paladin.

This point is even acknlowdged in game during the Paladin campaign.
Each person might see a rose with a different shade of red, but the fact that we can all agree on is beauty -- that is a miracle.

There's literally 2 Nelf Paladin followers, and 1 even specifically rerolled from Priest to Paladin, even if you want to say the 2nd isn't.

Where are people getting this "the light hurts the forsaken" thing from. It doesn't, the reason they can't be paladins is because it heals them. They start to gain feeling and smell back if they take the light into themselves.
If you could feel your skin rotting off, the maggots crawling beneath it and smell your own rot it'd drive you insane. That's the fate of any forsaken who would attempt to become a paladin. It can't heal them back to human but it does heal what it can, in this case their senses.

I mean

I remember Tyrande leading an army of militant women who tried to obliterate an unknown race because they were cutting trees down.

They're really inconsistent with how Forsaken priests work. I think what you said is how they originally explained it, but they later went on record with it hurting them. WoWPedia's Forsaken article uses both (ie, it hurts them but some still use it so much that their senses start to return), but I don't know if that's intended by Blizzard or if it's the editors trying to reconcile the two ideas.
