Teldrassil, not Nordrassil.

And no, this wouldn't work, as the game is designed so Horde is better at raiding; it would be unfair.

And if you want to get even more technical it would be a raid on Darnassus. Teldrassil is the tree.

But yeah. There's a reason that the Horde went undefeated in the official raid races.

Also, would it be entirely fair? One raid would undoubtedly be harder than the other one.

Nah. Same boss mechanics, different bosses. Sylvanas' Banshee Scream that does AoE damage and MCs a targets becomes Tyrande's Light of Elune that does AoE damage and converts them to the light of Elune or something.

The idea is interesting, but I'd prefer a traditional final raid.
Also, I'd feel sorry for horde getting Tyrande as their end boss...

Before tackling the what ifs, let's examine the "why nots":

Why wouldn't there ever be something like what TC proposed, other than the "it's stupid" answers.

1. This would involve creating two separate raids. Normally, this isn't an issue - they create multiple raids in an expansion anyways, right? The problem is these would be raids running concurrently and would require class balancing, as a lot of the time changes made to classes in terms of throughput and tweaking happen because a spec is either underperforming or overperforming in popular content.

This means either A)make both raids exactly the same in terms of encounters which Blizzard would receive flak for and wouldn't make hardly any sense in terms of abilities/mechanics or B)Balance two raids at the same time when they have already sunk development resources into two separate raiding instances and somehow doing that with double the encounters across all classes with different mechanics.

2. What would be gained from a raid like this? K, let's assume they actually do this all despite everything above. What would be gained? Would there not be any factions anymore? Would one faction just disappear? There's so many reasons why even having something like this wouldn't make a ton of sense because the outcome would lead to something that might lead to a large loss of subscribers. "[Faction] only won because they had better racials. GG unsubscribe". Especially the dullards constantly echoing about [Faction] for life, or "This is WARcraft. Not PEACEcraft."

And that's just a couple, there's way more reasons why this wouldn't work or would not be considered.

It would be neat but they would have to make every single encounter a clone of the other. Hitboxes, cast times, dots, everything... They face a giant abomination in UC? We need to face a giant tree elemental with the same health, same damage, same elemental damage, same everything, or it wouldn't be fair... The trickiest part will be the final boss. How will you make the death archer work mechanically the exact same as the moon b****?

I wouldn't mind the battles being playable as scenarios, but not as end game raids. I greatly miss the WotLK siege on Undercity. Wish they'd never taken it out.

No, Here's how it should be. Sargeras comes back from the dead...(or wherever he is now) and finishes what he started, Azeroth Blows up, THE END!
