I like searching for Warmech in Floating Castle.
The suspense is incredible, you never know when he will appear and kick your ass.

It's almost the same kind of psychology as the kind that is used in horror movies and thrillers:
that constant feeling that something bad could happen at any moment.
...OR at least, that's what I think.

It's also nice when you get a preemptive strike.
I think it was called "Chance to strike first" in this game.

I also really love those items that throw free spells.
There are actually lots of those items in this game, like Heal Staff (HEAL), Light Axe (HRM2), Mage Staff (FIR2), Black Shirt (ICE2), Thor's Hammer (LIT2) and White Shirt (INV2).
And that's not even all of them, it's just the ones that I feel are most worth keeping.
...OR at least, that's what I think.

Heal helmets are also worth holding onto

Ah yes, those too.
I am not sure exactly what I normally keep, but I think I have at least one Heal Helmet by the end of the game.

I am not sure what to do with the Power Staff, though;
it seems to dramatically increase Black Mage's attack power at that point in the game, so I let him play with it for a while, but it's also very tempting to just sell it for the 6172 Gil.
...OR at least, that's what I think.

This reminds me of something else I like (I'm sure others like it, too!):
Getting the chance to strike first in a battle I don't want to fight in the end game. Rather than running with everyone, I choose to use the heal staff, and both heal helmets, while running with one character.
So the best part is when I get to use all three heal items before running. I love the free healing without having to spam the white shirt.

It's cool when that happens.
Although of course if the enemies are relatively rewarding and not particularly problematic then I will use some of the Item effects from equipment to take them out for free, usually Items such as Mage Staff (FIR2), Black Shirt (ICE2) and Thor's Hammer (LIT2).

RPGs always become extra fun when you have access to free Item effects like this!

Lich is an undead, right?
So wouldn't HRM2 be a kickass spell on him?
Hey look, I got a new signature, lololol.
