Smash 64 Top 30:

1.Fukurou
2.Alvin
3.SuperBoomFan
4.Jyrem~
5.Wario
6.Kurabba
7.Wizzrobe
8.Mariguas
9.Wangera (+1)
10.Kysk (+1)
11.Isai (-2)
12.Dext3r
13.Zero
14.Prince
15.KeroKeroppi
16.Tacos
17.The Z
18.Yuu (+4)
19.LD (-1)
20.Brody (-1)
21.Gyaki (-1)
22.Hiyo (-1)
23.Taimai
24.Banze
25.Revan
26.DTan
27.Joshi
28.JaimeHR
29.Hero Pie
30.Kimimaru

NED: Fray, Japan & Peru (Notably Tavomono, Moyashi, Estrada, Tokiwa, Maha and way more)

Reasoning: Isai lost to Fukurou and Kippe, as well as traded sets with Bonobono at Kansai 2018 for 17th place. Yuu scored a victory over Wario in pools, but lost to Kurabba, Tokiwa and Wangera otherwise. Wario finally beat Kurabba and also defeated Fukurou twice, dropping a set in GFs, to win the tournament. Because of this I feel the Top 4 of Fukurou, Alvin, Boom and Gerson are all really close, with Wario and Kurabba just behind.

Smash 4 Top 25:

1.Nairo (+1)
2.MK Leo (-1)
3.Salem
4.Dabuz
5.Tweek
6.KEN (+1)
7.Larry Lurr (-1)
8.Mr. R
9.VoiD
10.Ally (+1)
11.Komorikiri (+1)
12.Marss (-2)
13.Shuton
14.Abadango
15.Cosmos
16.Elegant
17.Mistake (+2)
18.Samsora
19.WaDi (-2)
20.ESAM (+2)
21.Fatality (NEW)
22.CaptainZack (-2)
23.Lima (-2)
24.MVD (-1)
25.Kirihara

NED: A lot of people (Notably Choco, Shky, Nietono, Takera, and more JPN players)

Reasoning: Nairo won Tokaigi, dominating MK Leo in GFs and also defeated KEN twice. KEN, however did defeat VoiD, whereas Larry lost to Tsu twice at the tournament. Marss lost to Zinoto and Samsora at Frostbite, whereas Komo made Top 8, defeating Samsora, and Ally lost to MK Leo and Larry at Tokaigi. Mistake made WFs at Frostbite, defeating Mr.R and Fatality, while Samsora defeated Marss. WaDi, on the other hand, lost to Tyroy and Cosmos. CaptainZack lost early to SaSSy as well as Salem, and Lima lost to Tyroy and Great Gonzales. MVD also lost to Shoyo James and Mew2King, and Kirihara was able to defeat VoiD. Fatality, on the other hand, defeated both Salem and Cosmos. With all of this in mind, I think the entire Top 5 could realistically take #1 in the near future.

Melee Top 50:

1.Hungrybox
2.Armada
3.Plup
4.Leffen
5.Mango
6.Mew2King
7.Axe
8.Wizzrobe
9.SFAT
10.Lucky (+1)

22.Swedish Delight
23.HugS
24.lloD
25.Ryan Ford
26.Santiago
27.KirbyKaze
28.MikeHaze
29.Trifasia
30.Syrox
31.Dizzkidboogie
32.Colbol
33.Bladewise
34.Professor Pro (+5)
35.KJH (-1)
36.Slox (-1)
37.Ice (-1)
38.Rishi (-1)
39.Amsah (-1)
40.Kage
41.Nintendude
42.Prince Abu
43.Ginger
44.ARMY
45.Captain Smuckers
46.Hax$
47.Overtriforce
48.Captain Faceroll
49.Tai
50.Abate

NED: PPMD, Infinite Numbers, DruggedFox

Reasoning: S2J dropped a set to Professor Pro at Schism 2, whom also was able to defeat Trifasia at the event. Slox, meanwhile, dropped a set to th0rn, and KJH dropped a set to JCubez, though he did still defeat Duck twice in GFs.

The descriptions are cool and brings to life these different scenes for me! I don't otherwise pay much attention to the 64 or Smash 4 scenes so I appreciate your post as a little window into what's going on.

Awesome! Like MaskedSheik said, it makes what is otherwise a list of numbers almost much more engaging and meaningful, probably for everyone from vets who are dedicated fans and get to reflect on reasoning, to people new to the scene to learn more.

Without wanting to nag...one tiny addition which would be nice would be game count in parentheses after sets are mentioned.

Thank you!

46.Prince Abu (-4)
47.Jerry (NEW)
48.Overtriforce (-1)
49.Captain Faceroll (-1)
50.Tai (-1)

NED: PPMD, Infinite Numbers, DruggedFox

Reasoning: Lucky lost sets to both KJH and Zain, which I feel pushes him back below S2J for the #10 spot. Zain defeated Swedish Delight, Lucky, Duck and KJH for 2nd at Smash Valley, an amazing performance that definitely pushes him up a couple spots in my book. KJH also had a stellar performance, defeating Rishi, Lucky and Duck, while MikeHaze disappointed with losses to Hax$ and TheRealThing. Ginger had an amazing win over lloD, and Hax$ had a truly incredible performance with his B0XX, defeating MikeHaze, lloD and Jerry. Jerry, by the way, had his first good performance of the year, defeating Rishi and Swedish Delight to make Top 8 at Smash Valley. Abate sadly faltered, losing to Zain and then getting upset by iBDW, pushing him out of the Top 50. I also moved Nintendude and Prince Abu for an overall decay due to inactivity or stagnation.

All of those mdva guys got really good, it's kind of crazy. Llod, rishi, zain, and now jerry have had significant boosts in player level and decent national placings.
Even Junebug who I remember for his diddy in PM is killing it in his local scene (sheik iirc?)
Makes me wish my scene could step it up and take some names. We just have axe medz and tai lol

1. Was looking at the N64 PR you made and was wondering who tf is Jyrem~ (assuming it's Gerson)
2.MD/VA has shot up like a supernova (perhaps that's what they should be called...akin to the supernova from One Piece) with the amount of talent that has come from the region over the last 2.5 years.
3. Not that I want this to happen, but I'm surprised Amsah didn't drop a spot since he lost 2 sets in GFs to Avalancer (on Avalancer's birthday might i add) this past weekend.
4. Zain will beat Hbox or Axe(more likely to be Hbox) sooner or later, I haven't felt more sure about something in a long time. This Kid's innovation is unlike anything I've seen in a long time.

It is indeed Gerson, as confirmed by earlier versions of Pikachu's ranking

Jyrem~ is Gerson, he changed his tag.

Also I actually forgot about the Avalancer tourney while I was making the ranking lol. Next week I'll probably move him down. Should also move down Kage for the same reasons as Nintendude and Abu I realized.

22.CaptainZack
23.Lima
24.MVD
25.Kirihara

NED: A lot of people (Notably Choco, Shky, Nietono, Takera, and more JPN players)

Reasoning: Tweek won King of the Springs 3 over Dabuz, 3-0'ing him in WFs, while Dabuz lost Fatality in LFs. Fatality also defeated Cosmos, Samsora and WaDi in his run, very impressive. Larry Lurr bustered at No Fun Allowed 2, losing to Cyanide and Jumbolias, which allowed Elegant to win the tournament.

46.Kage (-6)
47.Nintendude (-2)
48.Prince Abu (-2)
49.Captain Faceroll
50.Tai

NED: PPMD, Infinite Numbers, DruggedFox

Reasoning: Players like Rishi, Amsah, Kage, Nintendude and Abu continue to drop due to decay, allowing the likes of Ginger, Hax, Smuckers and ARMY to surpass them. Ginger, however, lost a set to Shinobi at King of the Springs, while ARMY took a set off of SFAT at a Nimbus local and Smuckers continues to do shockingly well against Hax locally compared to last year. Trifasia won Phoenix Blue, defeating Professor Pro, Overtriforce and Leffen's Marth. Jerry won the last weekly Xanadu and got 2nd at Xanadu - End of an Era, taking a set off of ChuDat and going 3-3 in sets with lloD. HugS won No Fun Allowed 2, defeating La Luna twice, while Swedish bustered losing to Bananas and MikeHaze. ChuDat losing to Jerry and lloD greatly hurts him, and that + his lackluster GENESIS performance continues pushing him down. His win on M2K at Dreamhack Denver is the only thing still keeping him in the Top 15.
