Howdy, G_T, thanks for stopping by.

Sounds like you're further along plot-wise than me, gm, but I'm doing pretty good. Went to Forbidden Fortress last night, so rescued all the damsels in distress, including Zelda. As great as her disguises are in the various games, she keeps forgetting that she can't hide the Triforce. Always seems to be her undoing. Anyway, bopped around the islands today. Up to 13 hearts, so picked up a few more pieces here and there. Up to 26 charts now, I think, including 2 Triforce charts (1 I still need to have Tingle translate). Gotten the fire and ice arrows, been to both Fire and Ice Islands and gotten those treasures. Completed all the Cabana puzzles and was disappointed to learn all I got was rupees, and not the fire going out in the fireplace. Can't use ice arrows and water from a bottle doesn't seem to work, so we'll come back to that one. Traded up to the shop guru statue, but I haven't gotten a heart piece, so I think I went past where I wanted to go. But, I can always buy any of the decor items in Windfall, so not a big deal. Stopped the thief in Windfall, so I now have all 4 bottles. And healed Granny, so have a bottle full of her overpowered soup. Otherwise, we decide whether to look for more Triforce charts/pieces, or head to the two shrines and associated dungeons. Since it's looking more and more like I need that hookshot (or whatever this game's equivalent is), I'll prolly head for the shrines next.

The cabana just need deed, grappling hook and skull hammer.
Chart 23 is too rng and luck based for a heart piece...
But I will haz!!

Welcome aboard, Just23. Always room for one more. Tentative plan after this is Twilight Princess, then Majora's Mask, then maybe the DS Zeldas, so lots more Zeldaing to be had.

Not a lot of collecting today, but did finish Escort Mission #1 and beat the Earth Temple. One can draw obvious comparisons between this and hauling Ruto around Jabu Jabu, except Medli is actually useful/helpful/brings something to the team besides just being a weight to hold down a switch, she doesn't whine like a spoiled princess if you leave her behind, will follow you without having to be carried everywhere, and she's cuter. Now that I have the mirror shield, I know there's at least one island chest I can get now, I think on Angular Island, but I'll have to poke around for that. Otherwise, I'm currently at the start of Escort Mission #2 and the Wind Temple. Apparently, Makar really doesn't want to be found until he's actually needed as I tried to pick him up before the Earth Temple and he wasn't in his secret hiding spot. But, we have him now, so tomorrow we'll see about finishing this Temple up. After that, we see about getting the other 6 Triforce charts, and then start collecting Triforce pieces. Up to 14 3/4 hearts, so a few more of those left to find as well.

Does help that you're more familiar with the game. :) The hookshot, or what I'm remembering as the hookshot, is my current hang up. Seems it's needed on a few of the islands, especially to water the withered trees. Also think I need it on Needle Rock Island for the ghost ship chart, or at least, I wasn't able to hit one of the torches from the starting area. Arrow looked like it just went through. I've got one spot left in my inventory, so I'm really hoping that's what I'm missing, and that it's in the Wind Temple. After that, I should have all the gear, so then it's just a matter of running around collecting the last hearts/charts/Triforce pieces. I think.
