Only a few members of the FFXII team worked on The Last Remnant. The game was mainly developed by the SaGa team with some FFXII team members helping out.

TC, this would be great. FFXII is awesome. I stand by my opinion that FF12 is the best Final Fantasy yet for me. This incorporates FF 7, 8, 10, 12 and 13. For the record, FF8 makes me want to douse myself in petrol and spark up as i simultaneously throw myself through a 50th story skyscraper window onto a pit of spikes.

gzay just stop. members of square-enix are distributed based on interest and skill, especially the internal teams. but square-enix also makes it own software and hardware for the games so there is no "ffxii team." thats just a interpreted term of writers and fans that somehow believe the storyboard are the ones given credit to.

square-enix hires out about 85% of its employees, and with that they have 4000 employees about total. that means about 3,400 employees aren't working internally inside square-enix, but rather externally. so this "ffxii team" you're referring to is just the figureheads who take the brunt of the blame for external problems, because fans don't take the time to figure out what the **** they're talking about.

square-enix has already admitted they haven't even hired, thought of, or even drafted a storyboard/battle system for ffxv. they're waiting for the next fiscal year to determine where the fan base stands, after the release of agito and versus.

giving false hope to fans like this is just cruel. think before you post. i wrote out a detailed explanation on all of this and provided the sources, official sources which the 3rd party articles didn't provide and the business agenda of square-enix concerning GRIN, ffxii's team and so on.

At one point, Kitase stated there's no way to know what FFXIV will be about. Yet, something like two weeks later, FFXIV was officially announced. Clearly FFXIV wasn't drafted in less than two weeks (since codename RAPTURE had been in development since 2005), so Kitase was obviously hiding his knowledge of the truth.

Also by "FFXII team" I think Gzay is referring to Square Enix Product Development Division-4.

o.o i have never seen that term, or at least referred to like that ( i am not denying it exists, but it seems the title is ambiguous ). i was taught to distinguish the hired help and the internal help. im assuming you mean the firm that was hired to assist in the production? or the internal teams? i dunno... :(

marks, i really like you and find your posts very informative and helpful. but stop using 3rd party webpages as your sources unless you are cross-referencing them with the actual lists they are using to give this information. if these 3rd party sources had anything to do with square-enix they would link the games to buy directly from square-enix instead of places that sell them from back inventory. >__> i swear half those places do not even know what they're talking about, and yes square-enix does interview with them but they only mislead them because in their eyes thats all they do: is be misleading.

you said so yourself.

hey mark, are you a member in the square-enix portal? its open to the public, it just only opens up more depending on who you are in the company.

sort of like, moderators and such, etc.

i just really notice we main all the same boards, and you're like an information guru. i tend to not give out information but edit it.

on that note gzay, i want to remind you i am not here to be an ass or school anyone but believe it or not the most disappointment fans face is getting their hopes up based off rumors and then finding out its moot and losing loyalty. and believe it or not, gamefaqs is the #1 cause of that and basically why there are next to none lv40 users. places like siliconera, 1up, etc. are great but they're in no better positions than the fans. they're just fans with money and websites.

all i want is the fans to get the right information. the thing about grin, i won't lie, really is a personal matter for me because i saw first hand some things square-enix, a company i admit full loyalty to, do something unethical. so it gets my blood boiling when the information on that situation isn't portrayed correctly.

in other words, i am apologizing if i am coming off rash. hopefully this explains my standpoint. i will not stop correcting false rumors ( and will admit when i am wrong, i am here to learn more as well ), but just realize i am not personally attacking you. im just trying to help. k?
