So yeah, for fans of To-Love-Ru, Yabuki Kentaro's new manga just came out recently.

It's called Darling in the Frankxx.

In a seldomly seen format, the manga is actually an adaptation of the anime, which is a collaboration between the two industry powerhouses, A-1 Pictures and Trigger.

And yes, it has many lewds.

So the new one...I'm confused about it...So confused I don't even know what I should be asking...

Watching initial D. Not really sure why I haven't watched it before honestly since I like street racing well enough and it has a good reputation. Couldn't pay attention to the first episode cause nothing was happening and main guy had no personality beyond "bored and tired" but once the racing got started and he started developing it flipped right around and now I'm about to start episode 20 and don't see myself stopping anytime soon.

So far it sure is. I find myself losing focus rapidly when they focus on things that aren't racing though. Somehow the personal drama and romance aspect is just really not drawing me in.

Okay, Darling in the Franxx is at least interesting. Trigger still delivers, even if A-1 Pictures is dragging it down.

I heard darling in the franxx was basically a passion project by the director of TT gurren lagenn, and he has buddies at Trigger and A-1.

Just finished the second season of initial D and I'm surprised how different it was. At first the fact that a lot more was cg was jarring but to be blunt the non cg animation of the first season was complete garbage so after adjusting it was probably a net positive. The races were a little less exciting but still quality however the major change was that the writing and directing of the side characters was much better and actually interesting. This shows season episode layout is all weird with every season being different lengths and "season 3" being a movie. So far the tighter paced 13 episode format for season 2 seemed to be a very good thing for the show.

Finished up stage 3 (the movie) which was pretty good. Pretty much brought everything thus far up to a close and set the stage for what rest of the anime will be. The writing seems to have dramatically improved since stage 1.
