Is there any "official" (as in pro player made, since there isn't one made by the devs themselves)?

From what I gathered, this seems to be it:

S tier:
anyone with INT/DEF pen
marineangemon

A tier:
The rest of royal knights not in the S tier (with gankoomon as an exception)
Fusions
deadly sins not in the S list
Rosemon

B tier

The rest of data squad and Digimon tamers digimon
The archangels

C tier

Princemamemon
Metalnumemon (it might be good for farming, but in actual battles, it only has debuffs)
gankoomon
Omnishoutmon
Vikemon
Anyone that has to wait a turn after using their special move
--

Does anyone have suggestions?

A tier: any digimon whose signature attack isn't trash. Like Sakuyamon because it negates all stat changes on your opponent. I don't remember how it interacted with boss buffs but I'm pretty sure it removes them too and some boss buffs are a *****.

LucemonSM is a contender for having a 200 damage attack whose downside is negated with status barrier.

Or any digimon with a Support skill that isn't trash.

Everything else tier: Any digimon whose signature attack does nonpiercing damage with no additional effect, or inflicts status effects since they're worthless in boss battles due to boss's immunity to status effects.

S Tier
Marineangemon (most def nothing comes close to how good she is best support in the game allows you to spam attacks without having to waste turns to use items and vital in vs multi, keeping her safe at all costs makes every fight easy esp if you give her moves to do, special is busted it easily heals for 1700-2000 and heals all neg stats and she naturally learns to remove debuffs so shes set once shes above lv80 unless you want to hand her a lv3 aoe move and maybe aoe stat buffs but her default moveset is already good but she can become better, she saves space by not needing a healing move or stats heal her special covers both) not taking her is a mistake
Magnadramon:best buffer in the game nothing comes close, +5% stronger buffs means they buff for 15% instead of 10% and it gets better if team attacks happens, she helps a ton during the buff turns.
-Beelzemon BM:tanky fast, insane dps which gets boosted by speical, has pierce and accleration boost by default
-Rosemon BM:Best piercer of the data types, she has to be in your team by the end, fast, good moveset, not squishy at all, great ability, heals herself and pierces int with special
-craniamon/jesmon: having either of these at least one of them helps on some turns, he can make himself invincible at will which helps if the enemy charges then hits your team, no pierce on both but you use them to tank hits that would wipe your team...
-Belphamon: make him add all his bonus pts to speed and now you have a tanky boss slayer and can switch forms and sweep randoms in his sleep form. One of the best single ppl mons in the game and still solid in vs...his only downfall is hes slow so make sure to max his speed out
-lilthmon:best virus type in the game easily, heals your sp if you are hit, hits like a truck, is fast, only flaw is shes squishy so make sure you gear her up so she doesnt get 1 shotted.
armgeddemon: you'd be a fool to not take him for single ppl, vs the royal knights he pretty much makes mincemeat outta them just by being in the team +50% to royal knights is insane and makes your piercers and even marineangemon make short work of them in the story, def build him up and watch him melt all those royal knights esp in hard mode, not taking him is prob a mistake.

A Tier
All other piercers they either are too squishy or too slow and therefore not as good as the s tier...that or they balance their stats too much to not hit hard enough, mons that include this is plesiomon, alphamon oryuken, etc.
king etemon: can use an ability to lower stats of 1 enemy in 1 move, very helpful, can switch out once he done his job. tanky as well so enemies prob wont take him out, best debuffer in the game, low dps so hes really only a debuffer and negative stat machine
Metal Sedramon:blocks stats downs, thats really all he has but that might be useful, no pierce sadly
kentaurosmon:sometimes blocks neg stats, neg stats can ruin your team in vs, this mon is fast, decently tanky despite his low hp and blocking nearly all neg stats thrown at you, dps is def not good though, having him in vs is a good idea, hes not good in single ppl cause you can just toss stat heal items so hes def not S tier but hes important in vs
Lucemon SM:only if you have a way to remove his stat drop if he uses his move, 200 power move with no downsides if you build for it is powerful but if you dont he becomes bad...a strong dps if built around

B Tier
All other megas: have flaws or are worse versions of mons listed above

C tier
Any digimon in Ultimate or lower: what is the point in not maxing out
Many of the royal knights: due to armgedddemons passive of +50% to royal knights, they get wrecked in vs if used
any digimon that must recharge after speical atk

Both actually. some bosses can be a pain in hard mode, which made me switch back to normal because I didn't have the best digimon at the time.

well pvp, pierce starts to not be as effective cause good ppl will have pierce reducers but bosses dont have that, also neg stats and debuffs are much more dangerous in vs cause you cannot use items to fix it and maintaing sp is important though even in single ppl many of the S rank that i think are s rank are good all around...

Couple of the A rank become more valuable in vs and your gear lineup changes and equipping status guard on all your digimon is vital cause becoming dotted or panic etc is deadly...

good ppl will know that your marineangemon is your lifeline and will try to take her out asap cause once she falls you are in big trouble, she saves you all the time and as long as shes alive you have a very good chance of winning and shes a good dps ontop...some ppl have multiples of her so def expect that...enemies in single ppl will not focus her down but if she goes down you will be seeing the game over screen soon so keeping her alive is very important and getting her up again is important...safety guard on her and status guard is vital...

and ya piercers lose value in vs cause everyone has pierce reducers and might have crainiumon and jesmon both have invinciblity moves which can block hits so you might see multiples of those to block and wait out your dps...

but overall many of the S rank are good in both and couple A rank are good in vs but not solo,

king etemon is really good in both and underrated, being able to reduce all stats by 30% in 1 move is broken the only way to block that is field digimon that block stats reducers the moment you see him come out in vs and hes really good at landing neg stats cause hes right after many of the numemon line so hes loaded with those so ya if you see him be ready for stats down and neg stat spam...even in single ppl hes really good, lowering stats by 30% is really good and though stats wont work on bosses he can still do okish dps in random encounters and shutdown almost anything with dot and switch enemy weakness with bug. and in boss use his -30% all stats down then switch out once hes done his job..though in vs if enemy has status guard up and is ready for him well he cannot do much thus not being S rank but hes good if the enemy isnt ready for him.

lithimon and rosemon bm are both top tiers so most likely you will be seeing them, both are little on the squishy side so they should go down if you hit them with phyiscal but marineangemon is out she is your main target she must go down cause she can undo all your work in seconds and support the opponent really well you wont win as long as shes alive supporting her teams, shes just too good...

except for that one Ankylomon in Hacker's Memory

the final boss in HM was also pierce resistant IIRC

anyway, what works in PvE may not work in PvP and vice versa (pierce being a good example) so one does need to be specific when giving/asking for suggestions

In PvE it is a matter of taking out large numbers with piercing attacks or other mechanics that do fixed or percentage damage and ignore defensive statistics. After all, all the support you need can be covered with objects.

In PvP things get complicated and everything can be useful if you build around some mechanics.
For example you can use digimons that give passive 10% of X status and combine it with digimons that have special multi-hit.
Turn everything around a specific elementary damage and use digimons to improve that damage with the passive.
Or build around the drain of life and use digimons that have these specials in combination with GranDracmon for example.

So in PvP the top would be digimons that by themselves are good and easy to integrate into any team and be useful. So in PvP the support characters will always be the most top since on the one hand you can not use objects and on the other they are easy to fit in most teams.

As far as PvP is concerned, it is all summarized that digimon wants to use yes or yes and cover their weaknesses while strengthening their strengths.

Also comment that there are certain combinations that carry more than one copy of the same digimon and are excessively efficient in many cases but personally I prefer not to recommend them (they are boring and abuse that programmers forgot to include the limiter of one individual per species )

ya items do make support less effective and once you get 5x mega you can turn off random encounters too so then all thats left are bosses...so couple of the S rank supports become less useful if you use items instead of speical support moves cause speicals hurt your turn order badly...And the A rank supports drop off even more cause you can cover that with items...

by the end of the game you want mostly boss slayers, debuffers, aoe buffers ( cause you cannot do that via items) and maybe 1-2 tanks or just 3x piercers and use items for everything else after the buffers and your debuffers did their thing, the 5x mega for no more random encounters makes building for them late game pointless too lol...armgeddemon is still really good if you still have some royal knights left, buffers like Magnadramon is still good until you finished buffing, king etemon is your go to debuffer then switch off...

and ya this is for solo with 0 vs recondmendation...my other tier list assumes you are going to be building for vs where supports are more imporant and items are disabled though magnadramon and couple others are still good..playing single ppl only i'd drop all supports on my tier list 1-2 tiers down and move king etemon to S tier...your go to support by late game will prob be armgeddemon for his insane passive vs royal knights if you still have some of those fights left, Magnadramon for stronger buffs even if she doesnt use them and you are tossing stats up items she makes all buffs better and will always be out cause she just makes buffs better so you kill things faster and have higher stats and you can toss sp heals if you are running outta sp due to pierce spam, and king etemon cause nothing can replace his all stats down by 30% anyone who plays smt knows thats a massive nuke to the enemy stats, really op debuff...
