This is an open border issue, not a freedom of speech issue.

Really? How so?

The 'not doing any harm' clause, for example, depends greatly on who is determining what is and isn't harmful.

Nah, I think there is an objective standard for that.

I'd love to hear it, and hear why it's objective.

Don't get me wrong. I have my own standard, and it very much puts this guy on the s*** list, but I can't for a minute pretend that's objective.

What does this question have to do with whether or not it's a free speech issue?

Because nobody is restricting his speech, just not letting him into the country.

Could you not restrict one's speech by banning them from your country?

How do you define "restricting speech"? What do you think would have to be done to warrant this description? If you throw someone in jail for their speech, does that count? They can still speak in prison, can't they, so maybe this doesn't count as "restricting speech"?

He's not entitled to come here so it doesn't get to the stage of restricting his speech, just his travel. Of course if he was here I'd like to think he'd be imprisoned for several years, as there should be sensible restrictions on speech in a safe and inclusive society.
