Is it just me, or did Biden's first year as president fly by at a blazing speed? VP Harris also seemed to stay out of the limelight for the most part. Biden had to deal with COVID-19, mass shootings, and the War in Afghanistan. But somehow, it doesn't feel that January 20, 2020 was that long ago.

By contrast, Trump's first year (from January 20, 2017 to January 20, 2018) seemed to be excruciatingly long. Remember that Charlottesville happened during that time, and despite his infamous "very fine people on both sides" speech, that somehow doesn't even crack the top five list of worst things he did as the president. Even though hindsight is 20/20, does it seem that Biden's first year went by at a faster pace than Trump's first year?

Yeah because when you have a competent administration it's not thought about as often

Honestly, it feels like he's been president a lot longer.

Trump's presidency felt more like eight years to me, just a hell that seemed like it would never end.

Not that we're doing much better now with all of the obstruction from the GOP and GOP plants in the dem party, but at least a fascist isn't making all the big decisions now.

Yes it seemed faster because Biden could not hit the road running due to Trump's team not transferring the powers until the new year. It really hurt Biden by having to play catch-up, at a time when every moment counted big time. Absolutely disgraceful.

Had the same thing happen to the Republicans, they would have been screaming blue murder at the top of their lungs. I guess it was ok to do that to Biden though, right?
I didn't say it was your fault; I said I was blaming you.

It's certainly been more boring, which is why we voted for him. I don't wake up each morning and wonder if the world is about to end.
Maybe next year...

This, term 1 (and hopefully done) of Slug Virus was faster than Obama's first term.

Hell, when Clinton left office it was practically a lifetime for me.

It was still a long year, too long but the summer went by quicker.
