Depends on if the midwest's max MAGA was 2016 or if it lies ahead. If it looks like the midwest is adverse to a Trump knockoff, there's going to be a lot of scale-tipping in the GOP to make sure no populists take advantage of a jungle primary.
Unless democracy is suspended, I'm not sure if republicans have another legitimate president in them to be honest. 2024 might be their last shot.
If Georgia conservatism rolls over, their presidential hopes are pretty much shot.
It is not a good sign for the nation if Biden runs and is thrown out of office after 4 years. If that happens, the irrational swing culture in the nation is officially dysfunctional and will heavily favor hard right politics, as getting nothing done is a win, but beating a democrat is the thing they're addicted to.
So they would get everything they want, short of a christian dominion in which they rule.
