Alec Baldwin claims that he never pulled the trigger or would ever point a gun at someone

Thank god, we can now close the case on the mystery of the shooting death of the director of photography Halyna Hutchins. His crying proves his innocence

I don't think they were filming at the time. Plus, the film from when Brandon Lee was DESTROYED.

We knew early on that there were other accidental discharges on the set so it's not hard to believe that he didn't actually pull the trigger if the gun was faulty.

That’s where the problem lies. If it was known about accidental discharging why 1. would he pick it up and 2. Point it at someone

And a guy who has a ton of movie experience forgets one of the most important rules of weapon safety which is to never point at someone if you don't intend to shoot?

Movie magic exists to workaround the need to point the gun to at another person.

I might believe that he didn't intend to pull the trigger.

From what I remember of how it was described, the director, cinematographer and camera operator were working on camera positioning while Baldwin was practicing quick draws at the camera. So no, the camera probably wasn't recording at the time.
