  3. Can New Jersey flip GOP in 2024?

I live in New Jersey.
It's a blue state, but it is an antitax blue state. Gov. Phil Murphy became the first Democratic governor since Brendan Byrne in 1977 to win reelection.

Murphy barely defeated a unknown Republican by 3 points in a state Biden and Obama romped..............

Can NJ flip?

I mean, it seems like the NJ GOP has some energy going into midterms, especially after this election. Some of thee current House elect barely won their elections, so if the lead ticket is holding them down then that's a problem.

It's possible, but ultimately Democrats still outnumber Republicans for the most part, so who knows how it'll break down.

The NJGOP picked up 2 State Senate seats and 6 Assembly seats, the most gains since the notorious 1991 Jim Florio midterm where under Gov. Florio they lost 32 seats overall and made Florio a lame-duck governor

New Jersey is even bluer than Connecticut, Oregon, and Washington.

No. I don't know about NJ, but in New England people are much more willing to vote for a Republican Governor than President (or Senator)

But not as blue as New York?

Last Republican elected in CT= Jodi Rell
Last Republican elected in OR= Dennis Richardson
Last Republican elected in WA= Duane Davidson or Kim Wyman
