The first amendment stops the government from controlling speech through regulation, it doesn't give anyone the right to be an a******, nor protect them from the repercussions incurred by being one. |

the final bahamut posted... If the minimum amount of strength needed to be a useful soldier is the Male tests, then that's what women need to be able to do as well. Because that would be the minimum amount needed to be a good soldier. It does depend on your physical ability. A soldier that is out of shape is no good to anyone. The reason that you need a certain level of physical ability is quite literally to be strong enough to carry a person that is potentially downed. People with better physical strength can carry objects easier. It means that with a minimum requirement, they can absolutely ensure that their soldiers are as close to a minimum level of performance without worrying about variances between humans. It has nothing to do with them being "badasses." It's for the safety of themselves, and everyone else around them...Even athletes have to have a minimum health requirement and they are probably the most physically capable people humanity has to offer. Your ignorance is astounding. the final bahamut posted... See you say that but the reality is that women have proved themselves on the front time and time again. This is not a controversial. Women have served in theatres across the world for a long ass time. Do you know what averages are? That means the standard woman is not as physically adept. There definitely exist women that push themselves to such a level. Most do not. And most men are not born at the level required anyways. They have to work for it. Men just make better gains than women. Hence why men are physically superior more often than not. Barring that, they have extra testosterone which makes them stronger under normal circumstances. the final bahamut posted... And in case you missed it, the joke is "let's pretend the Right's latest transbashing talking point is valid so that we can support transbashing without really doing it." They didn't pretend anything. It was simply a joke about how THIS specific man was taking advantage of things to win. Even if they were pointing out that right wing points have a valid complaint here, I see nothing wrong with that. Not everything that stems from a "conservative" mindset is bad.
