Brexit prob didn't help, but I think wages are typically more competitive in the UK so they were prob leaning that direction anyways. Sanity is a one trick pony, all you get with it is rational thought, but with crazy the sky's the limit. |

Yeah, UK and Germany had pros and cons for the factory. But, Brexit no one knows what the f*** is going to come from that mess. Gross. That's what the Germans are giving the Americans and other allies. As it turns out, Germany isn't the only country willing to hand out free goodies to foreign countries and their clients. Here is the German government's response to the question "How much has Germany given to NATO?" There is a lot of information on this site but not enough on what the Germans do with the money. That is, how they spend the money. As the Bundeswehr.gov website has it: "The Bundeswehr is a federal armed service which is directly responsible for the security of the Federal Republic of Germany. It is also the main source of finance for its operations. "It has received funds from the federal government since the start of the Cold War, when its strength was reduced due to the end of the Great War and the collapse of the Weimar Republic." Germany's central European location and infrastructure makes it an ideal place to build a car plant. Plus, the British car industry is pretty much dead. Also a lot of uncertainty over Brexit. 600k |
