The deal would fund the government for 6 months until September, several outlets are reporting.

Vanilla CR or is there more to this? If Trump was briefed and torpedoes this at the rally, there will be a shutdown.

I hope that if he does torpedoes, they override his veto because no one wants a shutdown.
I'm just passing through. Remember that.

Very interesting. How involved was the White House in the negotiations?

Trump's in a lose/lose situation. If he signs it and it doesn't fund his wall, he loses. If he doesn't sign it because it doesn't fund his wall we get another government shutdown and he loses.

Because Republicans were so courageous to override a veto threat last month.

And they paid the price accordingly for that. If another one happens this soon because of Trump, they will lose everything in 2020.

I'm kindof almost feeling this means we're still gonna shut down.
They line up just to be knocked down on the fly. They never flee before the splatter.

So the longest government shutdown in US history wound up being for nothing in the end. Great job Democrats!
