And JFK and the CIA never got a long, right?

He and the agency had a feud over the CIA wanting to attempt another Bay of Pigs invasion of Cuba.

What I heard was the CIA was going to have an false terrorist attack on Miami and blame it on Cuba so we could go in and finally take out Castro, but JFK wasn't gonna do it.

As I'd said in one of the other GHWB topics, he was the only person in the country over the age of 5 that "doesn't really remember what he was doing" the day JFK was shot...and there are records of him actually being IN Dallas that day.

That's like saying you didn't remember what you were doing on 9/11 despite having been in Manhattan that day, or not remembering what you were doing when McVeigh blew up the Murrah building despite having been in Oklahoma City...Bush wasn't running the CIA in '63, but he was certainly an agency man at that point.

JFK gave the soviets his word of honor that the United States would never invade Cuba again in an attempt to remove Castro from power and in exchange they took their nukes and went home.

Have I got my history correct?

Not really. The US removed short/intermediate range missiles from Turkey in exchange for getting the Soviet missiles out of Cuba.
