Hi! This is the seventh day where we give a Pokemon a regional form. Today we're doing Mudbray, a Generation 7 Ground-type Pokemon.

There are options here, horses are a pretty flexible concept. My first thought was a pegasus, but I don't think Mudsdale would make a good one.

DLC Prediction:Arle is DLC 5, and Byleth, Akira, Hayabusa, and maybe Geno are among the post-pass characters. Hoping for Bandana Dee, Grovyle, and Maxwell.

R-Mudbray
Type: Grass
Appearance: A darker Mudbray with moss dreadlocks in place of its normal hair. Its white patches are now green and resemble algae.
Description: Often seen prancing wildly deep within swamps. Despite its considerable weight it can skip nimbly across even the thinnest layer of algae

R-Mudsdale
Type: Grass / Water
Appearance: A darker Mudsdale that retains the mossy dreadlocks of R-Mudbray and lacks the Mohawk of standard Mudsdale. A thick layer of algae coats its legs and replaces the orange sections and its tail is replaced by a thick bundle of vines.
Description: At home in swamp and bayous, this Pokemon can wade through even the thickest mud without issues. As such it is often used to pull boats through otherwise impassable swamps.

Regional Mudbray
Water/Ground
Abilities: Sap Sipper, Stamina

In the ______ region, the only mud for Mudbray to thrive in have flooded, and become swamps. This has caused Mudbray to adapt, and learn to travel through marshes, gaining the water type.

Regional Mudsdale
Water/Ground
Abilities: Sap Sipper/Stamina

Regional Mudsdale can be found in deep swamps, rescuing trapped Pokémon from the deepest trenches. It’s dreadlocks have become intertwined with algae, and lilies are caught in its body. Regional Mudsdale are very heroic.

Stats:
HP: 100
Attack: 115
Defence: 90
Special Attack: 55
Special Defence: 95
Speed: 45
it all comes together

Isn't this combo on such a bulky pokemon kinda broken? It would mean it would have no weaknesses at all (not to mention four resistances and two immunities).

It also makes no sense from a typing or dex entry standpoint.

How does it not make sense? It’s extremely similar to Quagsire. Water + soil (ground) = mud

We can infer sap sipper references the newly attained lilypad/moss design.
