Personally, I'll likely be using a mix of old and new mons unless any of the new ones impress me enough to give Roserade and Hawlucha the boot.
I have no idea what I'm doing with my sig anymore.

You can see an NPC Budew in some trailers so I'd assume so.

Cool, although Roserade till gives me nightmares of the rental colisseum in Battle Revolution.

Budew was on the desk in the hotel lobby or whatever that was.

I always only use new Pokémon: if there isn't a satisfactory amount of new ones, I have to resort to Regional Variants, like I did in Gen 7, but I somewhat trust/have hope in a leak that said that the new mons are gonna be 98, so..

When starting a new gen I try to mostly use new Pokemon but always end up with 1 or 2 if my old favorites. There is a good chance I'll have a Ampharos or Eeveeloution on my team.

Ideally, yes but I know that realistically, it'll be a mix of both.

Looking at my UM team....

- Incineroar
- Crabominable
- Vikvavolt
- Tyranitar
- Lopunny
- don't have a 'fixed' sixth

Bit of new, bit of old - how much of the latter is in there depends on whether I can stomach the new. I quite liked some of the Alola 'mon (Palossand, Lycanroc, Mudsdale, and Bewear were fixtures in M for me but I didn't want to train those again in UM), but then I went through White with like 3 Pokémon because I absolutely loathed most everything I came across. Black 2 was a Godsend in that regard, brining non-Unova 'mon into the region.
