So they just accepted this low quality game to have consistent and horrible frame drops?

I’m so disappointed. This really feels like a cash grab now.

I wouldn't expect a patch unless some major glitches are found, in which case they may also improve performance a bit.

I mean, it's not like they didn't know how the game would run, and didn't have the resources to fix it before release, or just delay it if the problem was time. Also, Nintendo isn't much for patching their games after release, save for a few exceptional cases.

Oh yeah those drops from 60 to 55 fps are game breaking. Better b**** about it for months
MGM Studios isn't Spielberg. Fox isn't George RR Martin. Square Enix isn't Hironobu Sakaguchi. Great storytellers are who make great stories, not companies.

If it bothers you so much, just wait ten years and play it on an emulator.

I thought this was going to be regarding that game-breaking Marin bug. Frame rate issues seem minor and petty in comparison.

There is no frame rate problem at all, people just don't realize that Link moves slower through grass.

I think they're referring to when you leave buildings/caves, the game has a slightly noticeable drop in framerate (I'm assuming due to loading the assets for the overworld? no idea) though it doesn't last much longer than a second and in the grand scheme of things doesn't hinder you at all or break the game.
Slightly annoying? Sure, to a very small degree, but nothing too crazy from my perspective.
I'd prefer minimal frame drops for a single second after exiting to the overworld over transitioning screen tiles any day.

The framerate only drops for me when entering a new area and the location's name appears on screen. Once the name overlay disappears, the frame rate returns to normal.

While I would like a patch to keep the frame rate consistent, the way it is now, it's very tolerable for me.

It's sad that Nintendo Quality took a massive dive but the game is still good. I'd still hope they could fix it though. It's not like it's a small title... If it's the direction Nintendo is going to go after, trust me I won't buy much from them anymore.
