Small tidbit, it seems Legions can 'lock-on' to the invisible enemies (the ones that require the Beast Legion to see) when you use Hit Rush. Their homing isn't perfect, though, but generally, the Legion will keep following and wailing on them even while they're completely invisible.

Just found it pretty convenient to make fighting them less dependent on the Beast Legion.

Have you ever tried using analysis vision to see them then charge shooting their back? I kind of combine your hit rush idea with that. Power shot, they are now visible , combo, hit rush. Even if they go invisible again your combo tracks quite a bit, the sync part especially.

I haven't tried shooting them from behind, but that sounds like a good idea. I'll try it next time.

Here's a possibly useless thing I came across: When you somersault attack a stunned enemy, as it hits, immediately press Blade Mode and then do the sync attack. You'll do the sync attack in the Blade Mode perspective, and you'll still be in Blade Mode afterwards.

This prompted me to mess around with Blade Mode a little more. So far I've found that the baton and gladius delay attacks can work similarly. Press Blade Mode as you begin the backwards step, then wait until the hop finishes and do the sync attack. Again, you'll do the attack in Blade Mode view and can cancel into its attacks.

Lastly, trying to enter Blade Mode during some sync attacks makes the Sword Legion act kind of funny, stopping its attacks and trying to home into you while you're locked in your own animation.

Ultimately pointless stuff, I just love finding weird cancels like this, I wonder if these interactions can be useful in some way.

Call Lock with the arrow-legion is pretty slick, making a single charged headshot costless. Again slowshot+vacuum+360ZL with Arms in the back melts bosses. The hardest fight for me in the base game was the fusion-dance boss that combines two enemies into one, and it just downright him.

Legion Fusion is very strong too. Missile turret, Slowshot > Fishy Water > Fusion > Missile Turret > Slowshot > Resoshot > Fishy Water > Fusion; a combo that kills nearly everything in the game. You'll be dealing between 550-800 damage per hit with that setup while the turret absolutely whails on the enemy. Tested it on PT Ultimate and it creamed the above boss. It's lame, sure, but fun that it's possible.

Also note that Fusion is a fantastic 'finisher'. While you cannot disable it manually as far as I know, it disables when the fight ends with the unspent meter still filled.

Good notes on the BladeMode tech, going to give that a go tonight. I'm still surprised by how good that move is. It can stop nearly everything alive.

Crash Bomb is great to use as 'cover' I've found. I tend to now put one behind me when I start a combo, as protection if a foe sneaks up on me.

You dismiss it with the same button you dismiss the Legion.

For real? Wow, then it is even better than I thought. Great to i.frame through moves then. Do you lose any meter for dismissing it?

EDIT: I'm surprised that the HELP section for inputs on the Fusion are lacking compared to the rest. I kept trying to dismiss Fusion with L3R3.

I believe there's no penalty for dismissing it.

I swore I read that dismiss fusion was stated somewhere. Maybe it's on the bar itself? Or maybe because every button related to Legions does something in fusion I just assumed.

When you first get fusion, it tells you how to use it and says what dismisses it.

When? I re-checked footage of the first time you use it (the bossfight) and it wasn't there, nor was it there during the first activation. Not calling you a liar, just not sure when you mean or where it says so. Don't recall it even getting a tutorial.
