I can't find the video at the moment, but there is a video on youtube from a user titled something along the lines of "45 things you may not have known about Super Mario Maker 2" and one of them is in regards to the scroll-stop walls. They apparently do NOT block off views of enemies on the other side of them entirely.

The video I saw showed the creator had placed koopa troopas on the other side of the wall. While in the room before the wall, you can see a few thing pixels peeking in on the very edge of the screen from the koopa troopas on the other side walking into the wall and turning around.

It's only a sliver but still--you can see activity on the other side. This means we must do one of two things: Either thicken up the wall by another layer or rig up the opposing room so that the enemies never walk into the wall.

It's not a huge deal but, for those of us striving for a more authentic look, this will put a bit of a damper on it.

Nonissue. Just make two-tile-wide walls.

Yes, I saw this as well. I'm going to just have walls that are 2 tiles thick.

No problem for me, I'll just put a double layer. Beats the size-11 walls from the first game, plus either way a one-tile wide wall would appear differently.
Hey there! Feel free to @ me!

Yeah, this seems pretty easy to deal with. The topic title had me worried. This just basically means that adjacent secret rooms can't share a wall. No biggie.

Can't wait for levels that body your face with a Chain Chomp from offscreen.
When Mario flails his arms he's in trouble. When Bowser flails his arms it's hilarious.
When Luigi flails his arms, run and run far.

As I suspected, the problem lies in the fact that some enemy sprites will overlap adjacent blocks, which is why they show up from the next room over. I'm guessing that most enemies won't do this, and it may be largely limited to embiggened enemies. I'd bet a normal-size koopa troopa couldn't be seen in this scenario.
