- She's too skiny
- She's too fat
- She doesn't have realistic proportion
- She's ugly
- Her wardrobe is too revealing
- She has no sex appeal
- She doesn't contribute enough to the story
- She is not a good role model
- She's too weak
- She is a Mary Sue
- She doesn't have armpit hair
- She doesn't embody all my political and/or social views of what a strong female character should be
- etc, etc.

Women have always been the subject of debate, but it's become maddening with the level of criticism they have to endure lately. What's funny is that I used to think it was largely men who criticized women (and they still do, not doubt), but nowadays women have to also face judgement from other women. I honestly can't think of a single female character who hasn't been put under a microscope for one thing or another, and that's kind of sad.

It's what happens when you live in an era where everything is offensive to someone and everyone has a platform to announce their offense to the whole world.
Wait, what?

Yeah it is pretty annoying.

I've liked female characters with little clothes and a lot of clothes and with great faces, big boobs, average faces, etc. I don't know why people have to always get hung up on those details.

It's a never ending cycle.

Talk about Scorpion, get 10 replies.
Talk about Jacqui, get 230 replies.

People notice, then don't want to talk about Scorpion anymore because it's not a popular topic. Take a look at this board for reference. People love and hate female characters.

It's what happens when 2 insane camps keeps slapping labels on genders.

One side insist that women are objects while the other insists that they are hapless victims.

Now in games they are characters, not women so I just wish everyone would just f*** off and let artists create what they want.
