pardon me for being lazy, but in another topic i went into detail on how to do it in a semi-normal fashion: https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/boards/253551-crash-team-racing-nitro-fueled/77852841/924701598
[short version, get red fire, try not to lose it, then when you get blue fire try and keep that as long as possible. despite what some may imply, i honestly would recommend just playing acceleration or speed instead of turning. that extra speed comes in handy in way too many situations. also, it is important to recognize that jumping is sometimes more useful for making turns than drifts are.]
also you don't need to beat retro stadium or twilight tour
Keep at it dude, some online players can destroy Oxide's times. You should at least try.
Me personally, I cant move on unless I get a near perfect run. It's slow going, but it's fun as hell. As an added challenge I'm using the characters on their home tracks for the time trials. Poor Pura is terrible in Tiger Temple, but it doesnt matter because Oxide is slow as molasses there.
We are now in the era of Spngebob: Get ready for Battle for Bikini Bottom remake.
