i see the point of pop up abilities. its so, in multiplayer, players know when to trigger their skills as well to trigger coop attacks. but i wont be doing multiplayer and i hate it so i do hope you can turn that off

But the pop-up on the portraits would be enough.

It is bad enough the way it is but imagine you want to build your dream character around a channeling power. You will hardly see them.

This didn't bother me the first time I watched the Treehouse gameplay. Now that you mention it, It does stick out like a sore thumb. With all of the options this game has, I'm hoping this is a User Interface thing that can be toggled off or on.

tbh, its seems quite easy to get lost in the game. i think its a good feature. not the prettiest but still. sometimes the camera zooms out quite far and there are lots of attacks going off (infinity sentinel) and that outline really helps place your character

I agree with this. Most of time whenever I've watched gameplay, I barely notice it.

Hopefully it's optional. I personally don't have a huge problem with it, but I can understand why some might.

If it was at least thinner and maybe white instead of those very colorful colors... and regarding the pop up abilities, I agree as well, hope you can turn this off as well!

In general they went overboard with all of the effects in this game. I'm okay with most of it, it fits the more comic booky style, but the outlines around the characters is just too much.

I can understand that. Again, I personally don't really have a problem with it because I just sorta block it out, but if you really look at it, it is noticable. They honestly probably could've made it thinner, but hopefully it'll be optional for people. I don't see why it wouldn't, I mean, you already have the circle around your character.

I'm hoping that there are a lot of options in terms of the display and audio. So it would be nice to toggle on and off:

- the bright color auras
- the circles that pop up when you use your powers
- the voices (I like to turn off all voices when playing these games)

I agree with this. I find it weird that the circle with all four powers pops up when you try and activate an ability. Hopefully this'll be toggleable.

I just linked this vid elsewhere for a different topic, but I thought I'd pop it here too, as it confirms single player is free of the silhouettes (or that there is at least an option to disable them).

Thanks a lot. I somehow even like the outlines but the ability pop-up is ridiculous in particular for hold- or hammer-the-button skills...

Man, this is sooooo much better! However, I do hope you can turn it off in multiplayer as well (since I want to play with friends without the outlines), but I have a bad feeling you can't... but we'll see.

Thanks for the link!

The pop-up is rather obnoxious. The only occasion I could think to rationalize it would be if certain abilities had cooldowns, granting a quick option to check their cd without redirecting their gaze too far from the action, but has the game even shown any hints of cooldowns yet? The impression was given that you merely increase your energy pool for better ability spamming.

Wow the characters really look very tiny in some parts, wonder if that holds up when playing mobile.

Yeah, I really hope the ability pop-ups can be turned off or will be removed. I don't understand why they can't just show up on the character's image in the bottom corner of the screen like in the other games.
