Rules

Please be respectful to each other and behave respectfully on other islands. Remember that you are a visitor, and each host may have different expectations while you are visiting another island. If you have questions about what is ok, just ask. In general, hosts often don’t like visitors to shake trees, pluck flowers, or buy limited items at the shop, although those things are fine if the host has agreed.

These rules may change from time to time, so please make sure to review them occasionally.

Hey All!! Been working a lot so I haven't played in awhile, but I still try to lurk in the background and catch up on the posts. Hope all is well with you folks. 😉

Welllllll, I haven't gotten my last two rocks to spawn where I want them to -- any ideas??

I have the grid covering the ground and the 8 spots around where I want them to spawn is free items... just put a custom design on the ground... I made sure there were no trees nearby... what am I missing?

If the game thinks that a cliff or building is blocking a clear line of sight to the rock, it won’t spawn. I’m not sure of the exact rule, but I had a couple that wouldn’t spawn, so I removed the cliffs in front of them (even though I thought there was plenty of space), and the rocks finally spawned. After that, I just put the cliffs back up. Maybe something like that could be interfering?

Hrmmmm, I'm on the "ground level" of my island, but Nook's Cranny may be blocking the "line of sight." Will check it later (killed my Switch battery working on it all day while listening in on meetings. LOL!)...

All I know is to have 4 of the 6 spawn just fine is so frustrating. LOL

@portokall_kass that is an idea. I had to move everything iver 2 squares because the game told me there was no room in the one square. After doing that there was then no room for the other section I had dumped everything in... So I have moved three areas with one having been moved to the upper level. This was all before playing cards with the cat today. My island is a mess. I think a fit bit for our characters would be in line with the game. Exercise in Res Services and yoga outside so why not walking and water????

Hello @Too_many_pets . good to see you. Hope your weekend was refreshing.

Thanks @SherriAnn ! We had fun, but our friends are on an entirely different schedule than us. The whole family goes to bed at 2-3am, then gets started at around 2pm the next day. After 3 nights of staying up with them then waking much earlier, we were lucky to stay awake for the drive home! My husband is trying to stay up to watch the college football championship game tonight, but I think the effort is doomed. 💤

We had fun, but our friends are on an entirely different schedule than us. The whole family goes to bed at 2-3am, then gets started at around 2pm the next day.

Bahaha this sounds like my son who likes to play video games til dawn and sleep the weekend away. I'm a lightweight.. I can barely make it past midnight. Lol.
