#54: Talk Talk - It's My Life --- 8.2
#55: Luniz - I Got 5 On It -- 4.0

Luniz kinda drew a negative wave of votes last round. Today's OHW from the late 90s featured lead singer Gregg Alexander as the main singer, lyric and song writer. The band's only other permanent member was a woman named Danielle Brisebois who was also an actor on the sitcom All in the Family and Archer bunker's Place in her childhood starting career. Rest of the band members were random people Gregg hired on and off for touring and recording. The band had only one full length album in 1998 with Maybe You've Been Brainwashed Too before splitting up in early 1999. You Get What You Give was a huge radio and MTV success, however touring and handling stress on the road made frontman Gregg Alexander disband the band for good saying "it just wasn't for me". Gregg decided to become a song writer for other artists even finding alot of success writing stuff like "Game of Love" for Santana and Michelle Branch.

The last set of lyrics didn't sit well with Marilyn Manson. Manson stated he took alot of offense to being in the same sentence as Courtney Love. Beck and Hanson themselves didn't really care. They just took it as a pop reference.

Hearing that song the first time when it debuted coincided with me ending a huge chapter in my life. I know it's played out, but it's one of the handful of songs that consistently takes me back.
"But who prays for Satan? Who, in eighteen centuries, has had the common humanity to pray for the one sinner that needed it most?"

One of those songs that used to play at the department store when I worked there, so I'll hate it forever
The folks who know about frostiness stay frostiest the most.

I had to give it a 5. It's a pretty good song on its own, but this is one where you have to consider the airplay because of how intense of an earworm it is. It goes from pleasant to heinous very quickly.

If you want an odd sight of the lead singer Gregg Alexander a good 7 years before he was famous he you go. His first solo album in 1992 was kinda odd sounding, still had a great voice then still but the material is kinda awkward.

His first single in 1992 which was a INXS rehash:

His second single which is kinda strange:

THE song of the 90s

Courtney love and marilyn manson

Fashion shoots with Beck and Hanson
Courtney Love, and Marilyn Manson
You're all fakes
Run to your mansions
Come around
We'll kick your ass in
Blood is like wine, unconscious all the time
