  2. Devil May Cry 5
  3. Is DMC 1 better? Or DmC: Devil may Cry?

Speaking of selling, DMC5 has sold a lowball estimate of 1 million units on steam.

Good. I wonder if they added those to the 2 million.

2.4 to 2.16

If we consider the remaster and add up all the the sales,

And consider the DE for DmC and add that up.

DMC1 still wins right?

No, DmC vanilla sold 2.4 million copies, DmC:DE sales are unlisted like DMC4:SE

Well DMC5 is Capcoms 2nd biggest steam game. 1st being MHW.

The closest to DMC5 is Re2make which is estimated at 1.5 M on steam.

Since DMC5 was ahead of Re2make2 we can safely assume it will do at least 1.5 M on the platform.

What still bothers me is exactly how much does Capcom want to consider it a success?

The game clearly broke even. But beyond that how much does Capcom want to keep the series as one of their flagships?

Hard to say, with both DmC and RE7 selling so well yet Capcom still considered them failures. Not sure how they feel about DMC5 even tho, it's selling the fastest in the series. I image it has more to do with Itsuno no longer wanting to work on the DMC series if the next game isn't DmC2.

10 million lifetime sales. Already at 6 million or so. It still has some time.

DmC didn't sell well, Leon.
They had to adjust the sales estimates downwards 3 times.

Game isn't dead at all. Many players still stylin to this day.
Just because you hate it doesn't mean everyone else does too.
It's still a Devil May Cry game.

The ramblings of a angry fanboi. Hilarious. Come back to me when you have any logical reasons as to why a DMC game cannot be spoken about on a DMC board.

Hint: There isn't any.

Okay troll. Instead of playing some lame ass counterpoint, how about you make the case for why DmC should be in the discussion?

Capcom is ran by a bunch of morons. They expected mvci to sell 2 million instantly, or console Monster Hunter to somehow underperform. They have no clue what they are doing and make the dumbest sales expectations.

We can agree on that.
