Playing this game has (of course) made me nostalgic. I miss...

-TP
-Screen crack when the fight starts
-Wonderchef
-World Map with tiny towns/dungeons
-Not over-complicated battle systems
-Unpredictable final bosses that don't have a lot of screen time before endgame or look overly malevolent in the intro sequence
-Poker

What do you guys miss about the old games vs the new ones? Specifically in comparison is the 2000's games vs the 2010's games

Innocence R, Hearts R and Both Xillia have that.
+ Lazy ressource.

-Poker

Xillia 2 has Poker.

Half of what you're talking about has nothing to do with being old or new tbh...

Two of these three were released in the 2000's, what I would consider old Tales. Also we never got Innocence R. I'll give you Xillia though. But....
it doesn't feel the same fsr

Still, it's been 2 entries since

They were released in 2012 and 2013 tho.
Gamers this generation only work in hyperbole. Something is either god's gift to gaming or a cancerous blight that needs to die in a fire. There's no in between

You also got Symphonia Chronicles + Vesperia DE since Xillia 2...
Do you really miss Poker that much? Not that it's been present in a lot of Tales actually, it's mostly a Team Symphonia thing tbh.

People need to stop acting like if Zestiria and Berseria represented a definitive evolution or a radical change. This series has 2 teams of development and it's been kinda 20 years that there's an alternance between 2 styles...

In the end, in the 2010s people got access to more games inspired by Team Symphonia's style than Team Destiny's...

+ Once again, half of what you say is not related to "old vs new". And you're the one who used date as a landmark.
