  3. Am I missing something with the Dog Map sidequest?

Because if not, this is one of if not the most tedious sidequests I've ever seen.

Far as I understand, you have to go to every "location" on the map and camp there. Easy enough. Except.. the "borders" for what counts as a location are arbitrary at best and its very hard to tell what's what by just looking at the map. It'd be so much easier if you could "fly" to locations via the map, but unfortunately you can only go to towns and dungeons.

This whole thing is tedious, and is taking forever.

Unfortunately, you aren't missing anything.
An opinion is still an opinion even if every person in the world agrees
Good and bad are subjective, and thus, they ALWAYS represent opinion and cannot be fact

Err.. is the reward worth bothering with? If its nothing special I don't think I'm gonna finish this.

On another note, I've only just discovered you can fast travel. 70 hours into the game. :(

Print the location list or open in another window and just go down the list, most of them make sense once you get used to the continent names. The islands and stuff are usually nearby the other stuff in the list. Just open menu, check location, move a bit etc. Faster than going through the in game list and scrolling every time.

Here have the list for reference. Note that for truffdae mountains you either have to unlock the first postgame dungeon or really hump the edge of the mountain to find a campable spot.

This was the only sidequest in the 360 version I never touched. It was horrible. Especially since randomly the game will just remove your progress in favor of your "rival" so lol have fun running in circles forever.

Wow. I will be skipping that one. Who thought this would be fun?

It was probably just meant to be an incentive to explore the entire world map.

But yes, it is incredibly tedious. Some of the locations are actually so small that if you hit the locations around them first, you can't even see the one you missed on the map.

I did this in the 360 version, and intend to do it again because I'm a completionist. If you are not one, then save yourself the agony.

Could someone help me with this quest please.

So I've been following Asbel's guide and I just returned to the port and there should be a cutscene with Repede but nothing is appearing?

Just wondering if there was a trigger I needed to do to start this side quest? I've camped outside and rested at inns many times. I had Repede in my party from time to time but I'm really stuck trying to get this cutscene to trigger at the port so I can go to Zaphias and begin the second part.

Just making sure, but you are in Capua Torim, right?
