Always online means modding the game would be virtually nonexistant or extremely limited. In a Fallout title, thats completely absurd. I expect a certain degree of freedom especially on PC

I was hoping to jump from PS4 to PC for Fallout, before I didn't have a computer that can run the games properly. Now I do, but f*** online only Fallout.

People are over reacting.

1. It's not a mainline Fallout

2. Todd stated in a separate interview that players will eventually be able to create private games.

3. Todd also stated in that same interview that they are working towards modding solutions to implement for players concerned about nodding. They want to get the base game out first and make sure it works right before they figure out ways for players to break the game, b****ing at mod authors because they can't follow simple directions.

What he means is "You can use the Creation Club and buy mods".

We don't know that. While they do have "premium" mods on previous games, the best mods have always been free.

It's not so much that ppl can't follow directions it's the fact that some including me don't want to break the game with manually installing them.
"SPOILERS"... If ppl call me a douche bag I reply "Well at least I'm scoring!"

Not sure how you gonna have free mods with an online only game.

On PC, they can't really stop people from using mods separately from their own dumb system.

However the fact that it's multiplayer means you'll have to have all the exact same mods as whoever you're playing with.

Same way they did in Fallout 4, though he implies in the interview they can only be used in private games.
