At least a few reviews have mentioned the option to rotate the screen, but I'm not seeing that option anywhere. Was it removed with the day-one patch that everyone's also been mentioning? If it's still there, where is it?

I can confirm from my review copy footage that yes, there was an option in the Main Options menu to switch the display mode between landscape and portrait. And yes, as I look at the copy post-patch, I notice there is no such option anymore. I looked through the main options for each game and couldn't find it anymore. So it might be gone.

What the hell? Why would they take a feature out?

No clue. I used it a little and found nothing wrong with it. So either there was some glitch related to the mode that they had to fix or remove, or it was an error while implementing the patch.

I saw the option when I was dicking around in handheld mode earlier, but not in TC mode.

My big complaint is, I changed the controls in Crystalis, and when I went back to it, the controls were reset to default.
(I bought the collection, so the fact that I've tried all of the games and don't want to play any of them but Crystalis doesn't bug me)

Edit: and the funky screen tearing that happens in Crystalis, in handheld and TV mode.

It did that on NES as well.

Good find seeing it's available in handheld. Thanks.
