I personally feel all the pokemon stages except spear pillar, saffron city, and prism tower.

WarioWare also might be legal and gamer. but gamer has varying platforms.

"Legal stages?"

Who is going to arrest you if you pick the illegal ones?

Brinstar, maybe. Though it lends itself to sharking pretty badly.
I'm Baby Luigi's biggest fan, a rather cantankerous female.
Left 4 Dead 2 is the best Mario-based shooter.

I thought tourneys only used Battlefield and Final Destination. And every single level now has a Battlefield and Final Destination variant I believe. So technically they all are. But if a level has hazards of any kind I bet they don't use them.

While I'm not entirely familiar with how tourneys decide on all their stages, I don't believe that's the case. I see a lot of the Animal crossing ones used in 4.. I think Duck hunt as well, and Lylat Cruise.

I think for the most part there are just rules that get most of the stages banned each game in large tournaments:

-random stuff that attacks you/deals damage
-walk offs (and scrolling stages)
-ceilings
-walls (though I think there have been legal ones with walls in the past games)
-in later games, water

I think transformations are another, but in melee pokemon stadium is used often and it has both transformations, and walls (in some of the transformations).

It'll be interesting to see what stages are legal now that hazards can be turned off as it frees up a lot of old stages that would be banned otherwise.

Im not too familiar as well but smashville was smash 4s and brawls stage of choice if it wasnt battlefield or FD.

The stages i picked in my op have no hazards and dont transform so thats why I think they are legal.

This board isn’t the best place for tournament rule discussion, I’d recommend checking out Smashboards
