CHAOS WALKING
(Starring Spider-man's Tom Holland & Star Wars' Daisy Ridley) opening March 5th, 2021 in theaters.
Lionsgate is the company releasing this movie in theaters. It is from the same director that directed The Bourne Identity and Edge of Tomorrow.
While Tom & Jerry has very recently proven to be a success at theaters making close to $40 million worldwide on it's opening weekend, will Chaos Walking be able to duplicate that success and challenge Tom & Jerry's reign of dominance at the box office?

Chaos Walking has a budget of $100 million compared to Tom & Jerry's $3 million budget. This is something to keep in mind.

Second, despite the film staring Spider-man's Tom Holland and Star Wars' Daisy Ridley, the film has been in behind the scenes chaos with them being forced to do very severe multiple reshoots (which is not a good sign). The film is based on the first book of a trilogy of popular novels, so it does have a loyal fanbase. However, I'm personally expecting it to place in a very distant second place while Tom & Jerry's dominant reign of saving movie theaters continues.

Anyway, here is the most recent trailer to this film:

Again,
This film is based on the popular Chaos Walking trilogy of books (as seen below).
Maybe it's fanbase will come out to see it this weekend and it will be as successful as Tom and Jerry?

Patrick Ness is one of my favorite authors of all time, and I really love Daisy Ridley and Tom Holland, so I still look forward to this, but I'll probably go in with low expectations just in case as this was in development issues for a while, so I'm not sure how it's going to turn out.
Have a nice day!

I think this is going to be one of those movies where it's either really fantastic or incredibly horrible. It's too early to tell. However, the film did go through development hell to the point where the original version of the film was deemed "unreleasable" by Lionsgate due to how allegedly bad it was, so they pulled everyone back in and did about a full month of reshoots. They basically reshot about 50% of the movie. Sometimes reshoots end up being a great thing (which is what happened to the original Back to the Future), but they sometimes end up being a really bad thing (like the theatrical release of Justice League). I'm definitely checking out Chaos Walking. I'm keeping my expectations low, but I still want to see it.
I want my Earthbound!!!
