Even after all this time, you still think James Bond is the superior franchise?

As a series? Mission Impossible I suppose. It's a lot more consistent which of course benefits from only having 6 films compared to over 20. Though the last 3 have been more consistent and largely better than the last 3 or 4 Bond movies so it isn't all just percentages. Not that Casino Royale and Skyfall aren't great or anything. Though I'd still put Rogue Nation on their level and Ghost Protocol and Fallout probably above them.

Though my favorite movie between the two is a Bond movie and as a character I like Bond more than Hunt. And there are still a number of great Bond movies in between a lot of not great ones. So it's difficult to compare them.

Mission impossible from 3 onwards beat most of the James bond films by a mile.

For me, MI is more consistent, the only one I thought was meh was 2, Bond movies don't seem fun any more. I was really in to Casino Royale.

MI overall. But it's not really a fair comparison. Better to compare MI series to say the DC and PB James bond movies. I'lll have to give it to MI because some of the JB movies have been utter s*** like Die another Day, WINE and Spectre. Only average MI movie was 2. 3 was ok 1 and 5 were good 4 was great and imo 6 was excellent.

The only great JB movies from the Brosnan/Craig era were Skyfall and Casino Royale. Goldeneye was good but notgreat. Seemed greater at the time due to the excellent Game that came out but hasn't aged well at all wheras MI1 is still great today.

I think we have to compare it to Brosnan/Craig movies. Light Action movies pre 90's were a lot different to even compare.

This is unfair. You're comparing 26 movies to 6.

I’m sure MI is fine. It is just not for me.
In my opinion, if we're going to fight the "War on Terror", a good place to start would be our country's haunted houses. - Norm Macdonald
