"Rather than face its own moral incoherence, Deadpool 2 blinks."

What the hell does that even mean?

Is that Armond White? Because he writes some incomprehensible crap at times...
reticulating splines...
Really? That’s your example of incomprehensible academic jargon? I really don’t see what’s unclear about that statement and I’ve seen much worse word salad from critics before.

Alan Scherstuhl, he's considered a Top Critic on Rotten Tomatoes.

It was just an example. The question remains, why can't critics just use laymen terms for their reviews? All I saw was the guy rated it rotten and then failed to understand why because of English degree took over.

It means that the movie (apparently) is hesitant to truly commit to the kind of moral incoherence that the character is ripe for.

Hardly difficult to understand. I'd rather critics attempt to have something interesting to say like this than some shallow "I liked the action" takes you find from internet forums and the like.

You picked a s*** example then, because nothing about that was difficult to understand and it certainly didn't need dumbing down.

Go ask mommy and daddy to tell you what it means.

It appears that the dumbing down of America is proceeding unabated. It's lamentable that there are individuals who are not merely apathetic to, but are actually advocating, this decline into inanity.

They need to separate themselves from the thousands of other people saying the exact same thing. Being a critic isn't about giving thoughtful insight. Anyone who has seen the movie can do that. It's about communicating the same insight everyone else had in a way that's interesting to readers. Sometimes, like your example, it comes across as a college kid trying desperately to imitate his favorite author.
