Patrick Stewart's early role in Alan Clarke's The Love Girl and the Innocent is probably the least impressive early role by a later major actor in any Alan Clarke production.

That's not meant to have any relevance to the thread at hand, but it is probably more interesting than the Emoji movie.

I think Stewart has mentioned he rather be known for a funny thing like American Dad than something serious like Stark Trek or Shakespeare.

Stewart and McKellen are funny guys and not 100% serious. Surprised at these reactions.

I for one love the evolution that Patrick Stewart has had over his career. When he began on TNG he was a no nonsense all business kind of guy. As he got more comfortable with his castmates he became more and more laid back. Now everyone talks about how fun he is to work with.

Patrick Stewart clearly has a great sense of humor about himself and his work. Regardless of the paycheck, or the quality of the film, he's probably happy to have the opportunity to go on talk shows and say he plays a literal piece of s***.

Are people forgetting that Stewart does regular VA for American Dad where he says some of the most heinous s***?

I mean, come on - what Shakespearean actor doesn't want to have "played a talking piece of poop" on his resume in the end?

He's taking fun roles for lulz to contrast with his being seen as a super serious actor.

I did forget that they had him sing "I Like Little Girls" in the episode where his character was dating Haley. Thank you for reminding me.
