quentin tarantino went public and said how disney screwed him out of a contract and forced a major theater to play star wars instead of hateful eight on a certain day, and you think disney won't go out and bribe critics to kill the competition?

disney did extortion on that theater saying if they don't break that contract and play star wars on that screen, disney will pull star wars and ban it from that theater chain and any other chains they own

disney killed any competition in the way of when star wars was playing for the holidays

Another stupid thread from snkboi. What a surprise. You've proved nothing here except your limited mental capacity. The only links that could be close are Disney/Tarantino and I'm just being nice there, as Disney keeping Star Wars in theatres through the holidays, and threatening to pull the movie if theatres didn't show it over Hateful Eight (or any other movie that would have been in that spot) is so f***ing different than paying hundreds of reviewers to trash a movie. Then there's this anyway, from your own links..

"However, Deadline has said that - according to insiders - Disney had secured the Dome cinema months before, having always intended The Force Awakens to play through the holidays.

This was further backed up by the fact tickets to the Star Wars film were available from the 19 October, but Tarantino had only recently heard about the situation."

Tarantino is as dumb about the situation as snkboi.

Just stop making topics.

a random post about someone wondering if some people getting pr swag might impact their reviews from last September.

but I don't get the point of posting the second article. in that its literally a long rant AGAINST the idea of bribery.

looks like i shared the wrong link lol, i removed it

WB paid you to remove it, didnt they?

What would they have to gain from BvS getting bad reviews? It's not like they have any films out right now. Even if BvS received great reviews by the time May 3rd came around the hype would have died down and Civil War would still make it's money.

brand loyalty.

not that it really matters as its the quality of the movie that effects its box office. but still, that would be the corporate excuse.

I think TC is subliminally admitting that there's a possibility that word of mouth (which isn't good) and critical reception will affect the film.

Oh wait, that's a proven fact.
