Regular Demons take 1 shot to dislodge and 4 shots to defeat.
Queen demons take 2 shots to dislodge and 8 shots to defeat.

When you release the trigger on the Vac Gun, if anything is trapped in the stream, you will continue pulling until it is vacuumed up - however, anything new will not get caught. You will not be able to restart the vac until suction is complete! Plan accordingly and make sure you catch everything you need in one pass, or you might miss the target.

Gal Gun 2 features adaptive difficulty. The tighter you play, and the higher your Ecstasy combo ramps, the more crazy groups of enemies will be thrown at you.

Sets of foes that would have previously gone down in one shot apiece will suddenly be sporting multiple demons each if you play well, creating tough encounters for pros to rack up points from, that rookies will not have to worry about.

Examples:

On stage 1, that Neneko that climbs up on the car in the third wave will have a demon if your combo is currently at least 4.

The fourth wave consists of a single glasses-girl. The number of demons that appears is dependent on both your combo and your score.

Normally she will spawn with two class-1 demons.

If your Combo is at least 8 then she'll spawn with a single class-2 demon instead.

But it's possible to get her to spawn with 3.
If your Combo is 6 or 7 she'll spawn with three class-1 demons.

One way to do this is to EKO the first girl, then VKO the second, EKO the third on the wall, then VKO wave 2 on the girl that runs up, clear the demon off Neneko and EKO her, then VKO the girl running up to you in front of her to wipe wave 3.

Glasses will spawn with three class-1s, and you'll have a 6 combo with a really high score going.

You can then pick those demons off and VKO glasses for 13,000 score.

Score attack costumes are based off the current Story Mode setup. So if you want instant gratification, buy a DLC costume, equip it on everyone in Story Mode after the first stage, then go to Score Attack and use the Vac Gun.

Being willing to take some damage, performing lots of V-Blasts and capturing demons as often as possible seem to be the keys to a high score.

I just managed an 82,000 on stage 1. Not a perfect score by any measure but a decent one.

Performing a Rendezvous does not consume time.

In this game, rather than be the type of man a girl wants, you merely have to pay her in cold, hard sugar.
Enough grain and any girl will do as you please.

Once her meter is full, you can Fantasize if you like.

This is really important; watch out for enemies with red armbands!

Most enemies will freeze when you stare them in the eyes, but not disciplinary committee members!!

Fair warning, guys. If you vac her clothes on a date, she will like you less.

You'll lose all options and be forced to end the rendezvous.
You'll have to make nice again. You could have just asked! =P

When Fantasizing, the Demons you knock free are completely irrelevant.
Doki-Doki Mode follows a specific series. You need to locate a target and completely strike it. After succeeding your partner will pose momentarily and then the target will shift.

Doing this enough times will "stop time" and cause a pair of target lights to appear on your partner's weak spots. Strike them both and your partner will strip down.

Then you can repeat the process to "stop time" again. With each time stop you are given a generous lump of time to play with your partner, or simply admire your handiwork. Striking both weakpoints, or spending quite a bit of time (40 seconds, in fact) will cause your timer to resume. You start the mode with 3 minutes, and assuming you can perform under pressure, you can play it up to close to 5.

When time is not paused, repeatedly blasting your partner will cause them to switch poses. There are a couple other special poses that can be struck if you work at it as well.

Taking out bosses will earn you upgrades for your equipment. You'll get to fight some in the main plot, so keep that in mind.

After you beat the game, New Game+ allows you to carryover specific things to the next playthrough.

They include:
Your Demonbuster points.
Your harem standing with the ladies and their phone numbers.
Any gear upgrades you acquired.
Any candy you hoarded.

Things that do not carry over:
Remaining time.
Quest progress.

You'll get a Bronze card at 250,000 points, a Silver card at 500k and a Gold card at a million. Once your card turns gold, you've cleared one of the two requirements for a Normal Game Clear, the other being the defeat of the main story final boss.
