Nope, sadly there aren't any news.
Only that the games have been rated and that Jak X will feature online gameplay.
Since they are rated they'll probably be released soon and perhaps bundled (hoping).

Title is a bit misleading. Should have added a question mark.

Before 2018, and imo, before October is over with. My theory is that II, 3, and X will release at the sametime. JaD was the exceptional game because it was decided to be bundled with UTTL. There's no logical reason to then release II, 3, and X one by one throughout the rest of the year.

We don't know if Jak X: Combat Racing will have online. According to Sony, it won't, so it likely wont. ESRB only listed "online interactions" under the Jak X rating, which doesn't guaranteed online play.

It's not a probably, they will release soon. They've been rated.

They are taking their time releasing any info on Jak 2/3/X. I thought it would have been sooner than this

I'm rather disappointed too.
I hope it's here until around mid October, early November.

I wouldn't start worrying until a full month since JaD released, passes by first. If we don't have anything by 09/22 then that's when we start to worry.

Have fun playing it again, Jak II's biggest flaw was its lack of checkpoints making some missions frustrating to go through.

That's not JII's biggest flaw. The checkpoints are *overall* fine for the most part. (Open-world missions suffer a bit though, like escorting Mar in Haven City.) If you literally place just 1 checkpoint in a lot of levels, it makes the game too easy. Just play around in level select mode and you'll learn the hard truth.
