Huh.. in my.. thousand hours or so, combined on pc and ps4, I have never found the lock on problem and never considered turning it off. Not even for flashes, I just aim them a bit further.

Not once have I seen it lock to a monsters head when firing flash pods.

Okay, well rather than argue in circles, I am just going to point out it was a common problem when the game released, and the common solution was turning off lock on.
