I'm not talking meta, because meta is only optimal until you get max crit + boost + stable white/purp, after that it's just stacking as much attack as possible, no matter how minimal the change is. I'm talking about something with a bigger...let's say...bang for the buck.

So, mathematically, second affinity augment vs raw augments? ele augment vs raw/affinity? in terms of effective damage to a good hitzone (I know this is relative) I could use similar opinion on custom augments, which ones are just stronger? Were always asuming WE3 and CB, CE for el. Thanks.

Raw is terrible. So just go full affinity or affinity + critical element/status if you want the best damage 'mathematically'. If you want the true best damage, then for weapons that do a good amount of damage per hit, you will go with health regen and then affinity or critical element. Not only does it work a lot better with skills like peak performance, but you'll be dishing out quite a bit more damage simply because you don't need to heal as often and because you can just shrug off smaller hits and just keep attacking.

Yeah I know Health Aug is rad and of course I rock it in a few weapons. I was more interested in, let's say, "absolute" damage values of offensive augments compared one to another. Thank you all to.

Health raises your damage more than the rest best it lets you keep attacking when you would otherwise need to find a chance to sheath and heal.

Yeah I won't deny that, as said I use it myself, and even half the speedruns use that, just interested in the values.

I would say 1 health augment at least for chip damage>affinity to get 100%>anything else

I haven't crunched numbers though

It depends on your weapon, there is no one set "best".

Negative Affinity + Element/Status Weapon, you prioritize affinity over element, otherwise you are losing damage. Of course, only certain negative element weapons are actually viable in the first place (such as Anja Twinrippers for fire dbs)

Neutral or Positive Affinity + Element/Status Weapon, you go element all the way.
If you have any slots left after getting all the element you can, go for what fits in this order: Affinity > HP Regen > Defense (if you end up with one free slot)

Raw Weapon, you prioritize in this order: Affinity > HP Regen > Defense (again, in the case of only getting one free slot left)

Extra Slots 2 should land tonight. So we are getting more slots per weapon.
If they don't add new augment levels, this allows more variance in how you build, since the elemental weapons (usually R10) will now have room for Affinity or HP Regen without sacrificing anything.

If they add new augment levels, it'll likely just go same as listed above. Or worse, they adjust the slot costs for current augment levels, and we end up having tougher build choices.

As far as custom augments go:

If it's an elemental/status weapon, you ALWAYS go with the elemental option. (5% affinity on custom augments is NOT viable at all on elemental negative affinity weapons, +50 element is vastly superior to +5% affinity)

If it's a raw weapon, you always go with the +5% affinity augment, or else just augment for looks.

The +50 defense custom augment -might- be useful if you were using the Defense main augment and going for a tanky build, not that many do this.

Never. Ever. Use the Attack custom augment.

10% affinty is often enough most of my sets, + We+3 and crit+7, I see little reason to drop more for 5%.

Only few of my weapons, really need heal augment. If your already pushing 90% -100% affinty.. might as well slap raw for lolz.

Thou, I tend to slap lv1 slot on it.. extra grinder, or some qol skill. XD
