Has anyone done some tests yet?

You have to be realistic about these things.

I love how it is all the really stupid monsters.

Like... no one likes those monsters. Why can't it be the fun ones like Zinogre, Silver Los, Namielle, etc?

Kirin and Anjanath are cool. Banbaro is new, but I think he's pretty cool. His armor is rad.

Ban's armor is cool. Anajanth, IMO is a dumb monster. Kirin I guess is OK. Fulgur Anja on the other hand is awesome.

Just use the weapons you think has the best designs but is still effective. None of the elemental dual blades i see are bad. They are all good in their own way if you make a good set for them. Augmenting makes them even better.

Sadly most of the prettier Dual Blades are weaker, for some stupid reason.

Here is a revised list:

requires Free Element
Fire: Crime (Odogaron + Acidic Glavenus)
Ice: Mammoth Direbones II (Banbaro, and the new Turkey Legs)
Thunder: Cross Destroyers II (Tzitzi)

Blast: Hulking Choppers III
Paralysis: Stripping Shears (Acidic Glavenus + Vaal Hazak)
Poison: Chrome Cross III

does not require Free Element
Fire 1: Anja Twinrippers (Anjanath + Azure Rathalos)
Fire 2: Smoldering Kingdoms (Glavenus)
Water: Jyura Keenblades II (Jyuratodus)
Ice 1: Beo Hatchets II (Beotodus)
Ice 2: Mountain Blizzarioths (Barioth + Velkhana)
Thunder: Wunderkins (Kirin)
Dragon: Enduring Surrender (does require a couple Lavasioth pieces, however)

Blast: Brachydios Blasters II (Brachydios + Azure Rathalos)
Sleep: Asefar Al-Nasr II (Kulu-Ya-Ku)
Poison: Crimson Viperclaws II (Viper Kadachi + Acidic Glavenus)

Also a mention for two nice ones, Wyvern Lovers for fire/poison weakness from Rathalos and Azure Rathalos, and Blizzard and Blaze for ice/blast, from Kushala.

The ones with multiple entries are due to either one having a high affinity, or one having a negative affinity.

As said, augmenting them can fix problems they might have, so you really aren't required to use anything. You'll find dicks online, though, that will judge you if you don't use the absolute "meta", of course. Just ignore them.

100+ more element trumps higher raw and/or purple sharpness for DBs.
