- Many weapon types just need one weapon since they benefit most from raw
- Elemental weapons need multiple KT weapons for full coverage
- The above two (raw vs. elemental) also applies to needing more streamstones for augments
- For many, a Diablos weapon is better than rarer stuff (the monster itself is trivialized by weapons with guard)
- Some top weapons are limited time from events (Wyvern Ignition)

Anyway, just an observation.

Yeah, MHW forgot that balance is supposed to be a thing. In addition, they think the goal is to have as many people playing at once as possible, so they brought back a rotating event system, but this time instead of it just being good farming, they locked EVERYTHING important behind events, and added in Festivals, where all of the events are available at once. This makes it so nearly everyone plays during the festivals, and almost nobody plays when there isn't a festival.

Also certain elements are saturated. There's a abundance of fire element (probably because of Iceborne) and blast status.

Silly Caroniver, balance doesn't need to be a thing in a PvE game! If you don't like it, don't use it!

Imagine if you will there's no cap to elemental values on a weapon. We can actually stack element jewels to +5. Then add in critcal element on top of that. Damn PC modders? What would that be like if there's no cap to elemental boost skills? The festival are there for the sake of having all event active at once. At the same time have rotating events in. Something I guess capcom wanted to try out to see how active players are.

Bow would be even more busted than it already is.

And DBs would be a bit better, I think.

Everything else would be mostly unchanged.

It would break them. I'd bet they would become the best speed running weapon.
