Not in response you Paulodybi, but I hope people aren't thinking by Healer/Support I mean sitting 100ft away drinking potions and drugs all day. I obviously fully intend to attack. I have a rarity 8 gun for a reason lol. I don't believe in corner healing either. But with speed-eating and LBG I could easily heal someone to full before they even get up off the ground if they get hit hard. Saving them the need to be cautious and chug a potion slowly.

But with speed-eating

They still heal at the same speed.

Not if I use sushifish scales with recovery 3!

Or you could just use wide range, 1 point of Mushroomancer, and carry a stack of garden grown blue mushrooms with you.

Already have wide range. And the mushrooms. I'm swimming in scales so why not go out with both those and mushrooms? Saves me a trip to the tent.

I meant Speed Eating is a waste.

Why not use something like this:

W:Edge Blaze SnS [Health](Fungiform)
H: Drachen (Flawless, Attack)
C: Empress ß (Friendship * 2, Expert)
A: Drachen (Tenderizer * 2)
W: Drachen (Tenderizer)
L: Drachen (Critical)
Ch: Friendship

That gives:
Health Leach and 95% affinity
Drachen Set Bonuses
Guts
Crit Eye 5
Wide Range 5
Attack Boost 4
Crit Boost 3
Peak Performance 3
Weakness Exploit 3
Mushroomancer 1
Airborne
Power Prolonger 1

As long as you are having fun, play however you want.
LBGs are great at applying CC, just don't forget to Para and KO the monsters while you are at it.

The weakness of gunning to me is that you can get one shot when fighting end game monsters.

My preferred go to support plus attack weapon is the SnS. The ability to shoot pods, lay traps, heal without sheathing, block attacks and mount monster easily makes it real fun to play.

But I think LBG are just fine.

Always go full DPS, support is for the weak.
