Hex managed to apply AT modifier to Nergigante, he gains a new attack where he jumps immediately and smash the ground at the sides.

Wait, is that how it works? Bump up the stats and the new AT gimmicks/AI just pop out?

No. It's actually kinda worse, according to hex. There's a single flag/byte that controls it. Put it to 0 and the monster is normal, put it to 1 and it's tempered (probably just flash immunity), put it to 2 and the monster becomes AT. It's still a bit janky, and the official versions can have way more gimmicks (iirc, AT Xeno can't be implemented into the PC version with mods just yet), but you can get a semi-AT version of nearly every monster in the game rather easily via mods. I haven't tested it personally, but according to hex, it just makes monsters do their signature attacks more often. Legiana stays in the air more, Odo does more wall jump attacks, and Blos charges more often. Hex intends on making all optional quests AT, and Phemeto is gonna go through them on Twitch.
I used to have a good signature, then I got modded for it.
Now I shall try to think of something edgier to put here.

Hug, that's pretty interesting. Kinda devalues how much they hype up AT stuff as new content when they set it up so that this is all they have to do though.

I mean, I haven't trusted Capcom for a decade now.

This is no big deal.

Oh I agree, but the transparency makes it really obvious...we could've gotten these all at once--or at least back to back--and moved on lol. Guess they needed time to actually work on stuff, but still...

That's neat. Was fun to watch.

It's interesting how letting the playerbase do what it wants gets the results faster than paying the designers. It's kind of like why wikipedia does better than britannica, the old Hayek model
It takes both rain and shine to make a rainbow.
