So this is random, and I apologize for that. Also, to be clear and I am talking about the game "For Honor" and not a mission or Anthem item.

I ask this because For Honor is a "looter fighter", which as odd as it sounds, is a fun PvP-centric concept.

It was a mess when it came out. Broken loot, loot crate micros (which still exist), and insane bugs, errors, and broken builds and classes out the wazoo.

After a year and a half or so, they have completely revamped the game, changing it so drastically that it is not the same game under the hood, really at all. They got complaints, and said screw it let's give em what they want (while micro transactions remain their king however).

It's still a looter, and its literally 10x better now. Think anthem can do the same without the mix crutch?
if it ain't broke, stomp it

No. A year from now this game wont exist. Their fixes create twice as many issues. What they do fix doesn't actually stay fixed. To reach a year they'd have to put somebody in charge that understands patches are meant to fix stuff not break it. Two updates in 4 days then 3 weeks later 1 update that made things worse. Time for new management, then maybe itll last.

I don't know how you expect anyone to take you seriously when everything you say is some moaning-rambling nonsense.

Well, the problem right now is the newly released Anthem is being compared to games that has had more than 3 years in development after launch.

The sad fact is, Anthem is a much better game compared to other looters when they started.

Given time, Anthem will be much better than the other looters.

"It will get better later!" isn't an excuse for launching a piss-poor product at full markup, and then virtually giving it away to newer players a year later, with more content, at heavily discounted prices, as a giant "f*** you" to the most loyal fans.

Are you sure? Warframe's start was garbage. Division 1's launch was garbage, Diablo 3's launch was garbage. FFXIV's launch was garbage, ESO's launch was garbage. No one even heard of Borderlands when that game launched. Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim were a buggy mess. Mass Effect 1 is a mess. The Witcher 1 is a technical mess at launch.

Seriously... Anthem WILL get better.

Was free, and remains free.

Whataboutisms still don't justify the trend of games to launch in this state. Just because someone else did it doesn't mean it's fine for another to do it. Making excuses for it just means you've become complacent, and are satisfied with a business model that's the exact opposite of the way it should be. A game should launch with a solid foundation and be seen as a complete product, with future content acting as a supplement to continue it's lifespan. Not 1/4 of a game, in a broken state with the "release now, apologize (and in many cases charge more) later" mentality, with future content serving to eventually provide a facsimile of a complete product.

Your expectations are WAY too high, thus you'll be disappointed quite a lot.

This is especially true when you consider BioWare never did a looter before, never made an online only game, never made looter type loot before, never had to deal with server issues before, never truly make a quick play option before, and the list goes on and on.

They're truly new to the looter scene and started from scratch to make one.

You cannot expect a bug free, content rich, absolutely perfect game from someone's first try.

If you do have such unrealistic expectations, you'll have far too much disappointment in your life.
