Try it yourself. Opinions are pretty divided.

Enjoyed what I played, not going to bother playing more since nothing carries over though.

people are finally realizing that it's a team based fighting game, so a lot of negativity is coming from that.

i think it's great and i feel like my preorder is justified.

Yeah. A huge part is this.
For the most part, people have essentially been playing "solo". There just so happens to be 2 people you can't hit.

But the gameplay itself is designed as team-based. So it expects people to actually work together.

Will I buy it? Maybe, maybe not. It might do the same thing for me that For Honor did last year. I bought it, played it for a month or so, stopped and then I promptly lost interest.

It's okay... but I'm not buying it until I see Yuna , Tifa and Laguna and the newcomers and hopefully some new modes and stages as time goes by.

If you play it like another fighter, it's pretty fun.

But if you try to approach it like a sequel to the PSP games, you're probably gonna be disappointed.

If I die, don't hold it against me. I used to be a Dragoon.

Yeah the timing of the release is horrible.
What with Monster Hunter World and DBZF also just around the corner.

I was really disappointed with it at first. But the more I play and get used to the changes from the PSP versions the more I am liking it.
