Yes according to him. Also: "The origin story for Batman had never been addressed in film or fully in the comics. Wow he even beat the comics for the origin. What a guy. I like how humble he is too.

He's correct about it never being fully addressed in film but completely wrong about comics. Like I don't know how he can make that claim when Begins was inspired by Year One and The Man Who Falls.

Batman Begins is the most balanced full package Batman movie so far. The Dark Knight is the best overall.

As far as the comics thing, yeah he's wrong on that one.

Who knows what I'd think if he nailed Rises. Maybe his trilogy would be the definitive Batman story arc. But Rises was not only sub par but it showed a complete lack of understanding of the character and because of that I really can't consider Nolan Batman a good version of Batman let alone the definitive one.

I've never thought of this series being definitive in any way.

You left out this part:

There wasn't a particular or exact thing we had to follow.

This is true. When someone says definitive, it means the only version that matters. Batman had several variations of his origin before Nolan. Most may point to Year One, but that doesnt make it definitive when most of it's original content is ever used as actual origin material.

I dont think that means Nolans is definitive, but he is right that there wasnt just one. He used several influences to create an origin instead of any one story.

The closest there is to deginitive would be the murder of his patents by Joe Chill, falling into the cave, the bats, and training abroad. When Bruce returns to Gotham that's where it gets murky. Most can agree that Gotham should be highly corrupted with Gordon as the only cop who wants to fix it. After that there's no definitive path to the story.

Humble? Lol, then Tenet wouldn't have sound issues. Someone on the Movie board said that supposedly Nolan said that the audience doesn't have to know what's going during a movie at any time.

Only Begins is a good Bats film, the rest are just generic ass characters with Batman names on them. The ones closest to the source material are just Two-Face and Scarecrow.
